Access and Success offers opportunities to get to know other parents balancing similar life demands in a relaxed and caring atmosphere.

Minneapolis (Associate) Students

  • Student Parent Connection (SPC): Student parents on the Minneapolis campus are invited to attend the Student Parent Connection meetings. Watch for posted flyers for information on dates and featured speakers. At every meeting a light lunch, dessert or snack will to offered to those who attend.
  • Minneapolis Advisory Board (MAB): MAB primarily serves as an activity committee to enhance the overall experience at St. Kate's. Students attend meetings to plan events open to Minneapolis day and evening students using the funds from activity fees. Participating in MAB offers the opportunity to build leadership skills.

St. Paul (Day) Students

  • Students Who Are Parents (SWAP) Leadership: Led by student parents, SWAP provides informal support for students with children.
  • Student Center and Activities (SCA): The SCA office has extensive information about clubs, organizations, and events for students.
  • Re-Entry Adult Program (REAP): REAP is a group run by and for non-traditional day students ages 23 years and older. Students log in to learn more »

Weekend Students

  • E/W/O Lunches: Once a month over the Saturday noon hour, student parents gather for a free lunch along with time for informal networking or a short presentation on a variety of topics. Watch for email invitations or announcements in the WEC Connect for dates and location. Contact Shelly Bjick at 651.690.8696 for additional information.
  • Evening and Weekend Student Advisory BoardThe Advisory Board is comprised of evening and weekend college student leaders who advocate for and give voice to Evening/Weekend College students to enrich their St. Catherine University experience.

Low Cost Family Fun

Each semester Access and Success offer free family events on campus in collaboration with other University offices. Each year at the end of October a family trick or treat event is held on the St. Paul campus, at the beginning of December a holiday party is offered with games, activities dinner and a picture with Santa is offered. Finally, a a Family Fun Night is held toward the end of April, capping the end of Student Parent Week.  Check your St. Kate's email regularly to get the most up-to-date information about these and other events for your family.
