Tuition and Financial Aid
How much does it cost to be a Dual Degree in Nursing student at St. Kate’s? Our advisors can help you find the answer — and help you understand your options for financial aid. Most students receive some form of financial aid (loans, grants and other forms of assistance).
You'll need to take into consideration the long-term value of your degree — your goals, your employment prospects, the value to potential employers of the St. Kate's name on your resume — as well as the benefits of a supportive environment you'll find in a life-changing St. Kate's learning experience.
During the first phase of the Dual Degree in Nursing, before you earn your associate degree, you'll pay the same tuition rate as other associate students at the university. During the second phase, when you are finishing your bachelor's degree, you'll pay the same rate as other students in the accelerated RN-BS Degree Completion program.
During the 2013-14 academic year, the associate tuition rate is $630 per credit and the RN-BS Degree Completion tuition rate is $514 per credit. Most courses range frmo 2-4 credits, and the number of credits you'll take each semester will vary; some students take as few as 6 credits, and others take 12 credits or more. The total number of credits required for the Dual Degree in Nursing is 130 (70 at the associate level, 60 at the bachelor's degree-completion level).
If you are like most students, your total tuition costs will be reduced by transferring in credits from your previous college experience.
