Master of Arts in Education: Montessori Diploma

Master of Arts in Education: Montessori Diploma

Start your Montessori career and earn your master's degree

Through a new partnership between St. Catherine University's Advanced Montessori Programs and the Montessori Center of Minnesota (MCM), you can prepare for a career as a Montessori educator and earn a Master of Arts in Education degree.

At MCM's state-of-the-art facility in St. Paul, students prepare for careers as Montessori guides and earn the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) diploma. Each fall, students begin a one-year course of study toward a primary diploma. Every third summer, students begin the summer-intensive, 2-1/2 year elementary diploma program.

Qualified students in MCM's diploma program may earn graduate credit for their coursework and complete a St. Catherine University Master of Arts in Education degree. Students apply separately (and simultaneously) to MCM and St. Catherine University; the first step is to learn more about the MCM diploma and begin your MCM application.

Application and program information

Apply now to start the primary option (starts in Fall 2014). See the MCM web site for information on the Primary Training Program or Elementary Training Program and diploma application details.

If you decide to pursue a St. Catherine University master's degree in addition to your diploma, apply to St. Kate's as soon as possible after starting your application to MCM.

The application deadline for the Master of Arts in Education is July 1 for students starting the Primary option in Fall 2014.
