Mission in the Curriculum

Because St. Catherine University's identity springs from its origins as a Catholic, liberal arts college for women, the baccalaureate core curriculum constitutes the foundation for liberal learning. In place since 1995, it consists of a distribution of courses in the humanities, arts, and sciences that support a series of Liberal Arts Goals developed by the faculty over several years. Highlighted components of this distribution are courses in theology, philosophy, languages such as French and Spanish, and race and ethnicity, as well as two required integrative courses, which focus on core values implied in the mission and which provide a common learning experience for all baccalaureate students.
