Majoring in Business-to-Business Sales
Professional selling is a great place to begin a business career. In fact, it's where many CEOs and business executives get their start.
St. Kate’s business-to-business sales major teaches you how to influence decision-making between businesses or international companies, and how to successfully manage professional customer relationships. St. Catherine is the only university in the country with sales programs that integrate professional sales skills with the critical-thinking and problem-solving focus of a broad-based liberal arts education. And St. Kate's offers the only business-to-business sales degree in the United States designed specifically for women.
You’ll learn how to communicate clearly, think and reason critically, and act ethically — skills that keep you competitive and transfer easily from one industry to another. You'll also learn more about marketing, customer-centered selling, sales force leadership and other skills.
And, we'll help you gain workplace experience by assisting your search for internships or facilitating stretch assignments that fit your busy schedule. Program of Study
Business and writing-intensive courses are required, in addition to professional selling coursework such as "Ethics and Integrity in Selling" and "Customer Intelligence and Effective Communication." You’ll also develop strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills through classes in the liberal arts, including psychology, math and philosophy.
We build on your skills in social media and digital search, because innovative, web-savvy sales people can more effectively reach prospects and communicate with customers.
