Thank you to the St. Kate’s community for making Philanthropy Week a Success!
Once again the St. Kate's community has shined bright by answering the call for volunteer support with resounding enthusiasm and embracing the opportunity to learn how generosity impacts the University.
With the help of 74 community members at our four Philanthropy Week Note Writing Sessions over four days, we were able to mail out 867 handwritten solicitation notes to our loyal donors from last year, who have not made a gift yet this year. Personal notes go a long way when asking people to support our University. This work will translate to donations towards this year's Annual Fund goal of $2M.
Additionally, through the combined 8 hours of tabling from 11 student and staff volunteers, we engaged students, faculty and staff to build awareness of philanthropy at St. Kate's while handing out 174 St. Catherine University nail files!
And finally, capping off Philanthropy Week, the first annual Thankathon was a hit! Over 400 community members stopped by to thank donors by signing our larger than life thank you poster and expressing what they are grateful for at St. Kate’s. A strong sense of community resonated throughout the event leaving everyone feeling proud to be a Katie!
