Butler Center Expansion/Fontbonne Hall Renovation

Construction Update – July 7, 2014

Last week:

  • Fontbonne wall construction continues. Wallboard sheeting has begun up high.
  • Soil corrections are completed in the three-story footprint
  • Storm sewer piping was removed from deep in the ground.
  • Footings have been set and poured for the Butler Center front entry
  • Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Sprinkler crews have all made great progress in getting Fontbonne ready.

Safety – No incidents or accidents to report.

This week:

  • Steel will arrive for the modifications to the Butler Center front entry.
  • Inspections of the interior walls in Fontbonne and beginning to close-up the walls.
  • Window and door frames (interior) will be delivered and installation will start.
  • Foundation footings will continue for the 3-story construction.

Next week:

  • Fontbonne windows should begin arriving.
  • Foundation walls will begin for the 3-story construction.
  • Fontbonne walls will begin being taped.
  • Footings for the Fontbonne elevator will be poured.  Wall construction will follow.
