Orientation

Orientation

Semester and year-long programs

The Office of Global Studies will hold orientation sessions in order to help prepare you to go abroad and answer common questions as you prepare for your off-campus program.  These sessions are required and cannot be made up.  Please do all you can in order to attend each session in its entirety.

Your program will also provide an on-site orientation for you when you arrive. They are the ones with the best information about local conditions. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Keep in touch with the program liaison throughout your stay there. Make sure to let him/her know your travel plans for break times; feel free to ask advice about travel to those places.

Mark your calendar for the upcoming orientation sessions: required orientation information and sessions will be shared via email.

Short-term programs

Orientation for short term programs is also a requirement.

The UMAIE J-term orientation will take place in three steps and includes a live webinar session, please watch your St. Kate's e-mail for more information.

Orientation sessions for short-term programs led by St. Kate's faculty will be scheduled by the course instructors.  Please watch your St. Kate's e-mail for follow-up information on dates and times following your acceptance in the course.
