Join some of the most thoughtful and creative minds in healthcare at the 2016 Henrietta Schmoll School of Health Interprofessional Education Summit as they address these issues from a human centered approach.  By keeping people at the center of health, great and meaningful change can take place.  This year’s summit will include keynote addresses, breakout talks, and poster sessions.

Lead Design Strategist, Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation
Ross leads the discovery and implementation of transformative, people-centered care models for Mayo Clinic. A graduate of the Royal College of Art in London, she taught at the Rhode Island School of Design and directed the Human Wellbeing Group at the MIT Media Lab.  Mayo Clinic's Center for Innovation fuses design principles with the scientific method to uncover human needs in the health care environment, which include empathy, creativity, systems thinking and a human-centered focus.  Find out more at

Madge and Dennis T. McLawhorn University Professor of Business, Fuqua Business School, Duke University
A physician and behavioral scientist, Dr. Ubel’s research and writing explores the quirks in human nature that influence our lives — the mixture of rational and irrational forces that affect our health, our happiness and the way our society functions.  Dr. Ubel will discuss why the key to living better, healthier lives, and improving the societies we live in, is to understand human nature.
