Enhancing Practice Through Holistic Nursing

6 Week Course - 18 Contact Hours

In response to the increasing recognition of the value of integrative health care in hospitals and clinics and the expansion of holistic nursing practice, a six-week course will be offered for all nurses.

The goal of the course is to enhance knowledge and ability to integrate holistic principles and modalities into nursing practice. The course includes concepts and principles of Integrative Health, ethics, standards of care, self-care, holistic nursing theories, as well as evidenced-based and research-based approaches that guide holistic nursing practice.

Offered by the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview/University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital, Integrative Health and Healing Program, and St. Catherine University/School of Health, Master of Arts in Holistic Health Studies Program.
