The goal of the course is to enhance knowledge and ability to integrate holistic principles and modalities into nursing practice. The course includes concepts and principles of Integrative Health, ethics, standards of care, self-care, holistic nursing theories, as well as evidenced-based and research-based approaches that guide holistic nursing practice.

The continuing education program is a partnership between St. Catherine University's Master of Arts in Holistic Health Studies Program and M Health which includes the University of Minnesota Medical Center and University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital Integrative Therapies.
