Course Description

SEED II: Multicultural Education - K-12 Strategies and Concerns

This seminar engages teachers in reading, conversations, and activities about issues of race, gender, class, and ethnicity. Participants are immersed in scholarship on inclusive education, models teaching strategies to link content and pedagogy, and are grounded in the experiences of participants. Participants meet monthly for 3 hours seminars and typically have one field trip related to the course subject matter for a total of 30 hours. We estimate that the reading list requires 60 hours outside of the seminar for participants.
