Course Descriptions

SEED V: Implementing Multicultural Education

This seminar engages teachers in reading, conversations, and activities about issues of race, gender, class and ethnicity as they relate to education. Participants are immersed in scholarship on inclusive education, model-teaching strategies to link content and pedagogy, and are grounded in the experiences of participants. Participants meet monthly for 3 hours seminars and typically have several field trips related to the course subject matter for a total of 40 hours. We estimate that the reading list requires 60 hours outside of the seminar for participants.
