Accreditation

The graduate curriculum in occupational therapy at St. Catherine University is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA).

On August 2, 2013, ACOTE presented a Certificate of Accreditation to the Occupational Therapy Program at St. Catherine University for a period of 10 years from the academic year 2012/2013 to 2022/2023.

NBCOT Certification Exam

Following graduation, all students must pass the certification exam offered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

The total number of graduates from the St. Catherine University Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy program during the 3-year period of 2012-2014 was 175 , with an overall graduation rate of  97%.

Licensure

Each state in the US (including the District of Columbia, and some US territories such as Guam and Puerto Rico) regulates the practice of occupational therapy. Most states, including Minnesota, require occupational therapy practitioners to be licensed.
