Internships and Research
Each year, St. Kate’s receives invitations for students to participate in various internship opportunities with theaters or performing arts companies in the Twin Cities.
Many acclaimed theaters are a short drive from St. Kate's, including:
- The Guthrie Theater
- Children's Theatre Company
- Jungle Theater
- Chanhassen Dinner Theatres
- Mixed Blood Theatre
- Park Square Theatre
At St. Kate's, you can also enhance your professional and leadership skills through:
Assistantship Mentoring Program (AMP)
AMP is an innovative, paid work-and-learning experience that pairs St. Kate’s students in their junior or senior year with faculty or staff mentors on a specific project. AMP gave theater alumna Brett Blonigen the chance to work on “Special Methods in Theatre Education” with Professor Emerita Jo Ann Holonbek.
This student-led theater club is open to everyone interested in theater. Members have the opportunity to further their leadership and theatrical skills, and learn more about theatrical culture beyond the collegiate level.
