Resources for Disabilities Center
Disability is another aspect of diversity. St. Catherine University is committed to creating and promoting accessible and inclusive learning environments for all. Resources for Disabilities is integral in achieving this goal by partnering with students, faculty, and staff to address any barriers to full participation in the academic and co-curricular experience.
An Open Door
All students are welcome to discuss their academic concerns with an Access Consultant. Screening for learning disabilities and ADD/ADHD is available as well as referrals to campus and community resources.
Access Consultants have experience working with students impacted by many conditions that disable, such as learning disabilities, chronic medical issues, ADD/ADHD, traumatic brain injury, psychiatric conditions, Autism spectrum disorders, and hearing and vision impairments.
Location and Hours
Our office is located in the lower level of Coeur de Catherine and is housed in the O'Neill Center for Academic Development which is open to all students. We find this a wonderful location as it offers support resources for writing reading, math/science and study skills.
We are here throughout the academic year and over the summer. Prospective students are encouraged to meet with us to make sure we are able to meet their needs. Some accommodations take time to arrange.
