The Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities (Augsburg, Hamline, Macalester, St. Catherine and St.Thomas) have made the decision to discontinue intercampus bus service at the end of this academic year. The final day of ACTC shuttle service will be May 22, 2015.
ACTC schools are located in a vibrant urban setting that boasts many sustainable and affordable transportation options. Between improved local bus routes, the LRT Green and Blue Lines, and ever-growing car and bike sharing availability, our students, faculty and staff have more options than ever before to get between the ACTC campuses and around the Twin Cities. This availability of options, along with a collaborative effort to reduce our schools’ carbon footprints, led to this decision.
ACTC and St. Catherine University remain committed to supporting cross-registration between the ACTC colleges and offering convenient and cost-effective intercampus transportation. In addition, St. Catherine will explore the possibility of pursuing its own shuttle service to make sure students, faculty and staff can easily commute between our St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses. Selected new options will be communicated University-wide prior to the beginning of the Fall 2015 semester.
