Mark Blegen, WHIR Center co-director, works with athletes, teams, and Olympians to measure fitness and to promote healthy living.
Alvina Brueggemann, WHIR Center Coodinator, conducts workshops on stress reduction, mindfulness, and mind-body health research to community members of all ages. In addition, she co-leads community-based falls prevention programs, such as Matter of Balance, for older adults in the community in partnership with HealthEast and Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging.
Marcie Myers, WHIR Center co-director, works with incoming first-year students of color to introduce high school students to biology and science-based careers.
